SocialCar at the European Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) Seminar in Stuttgart

John Nelson from the Centre for Transport Research at the University of Aberdeen (UNIABDN) represented SocialCar at the European demand Responsive Transport (DRT) Seminar in Stuttgart (23rd - 25th May).

The Seminar brought together around 30 of leading practitioners, policy makers and researchers to consider recent developments in demand responsive and flexible transport services. Contributions were arranged under the headings of Open DRT (including liftsharing and the new economics of DRT in a world of uberisation), recent developments in ICT, Integrated paratransit (with a special focus on Mobility as a Service) and benchmarking initiatives for flexible transport services. Considerable interest was shown in the SocialCar and the integrating approach of social media.
