EU workshop on C-ITS

SocialCar developers are involved in a C-ITS research project, financed by Horizon 2020.
SAFE STRIP seeks to embed C-ITS applications in existing road infrastructure, using novel I2V, V2I, VMS and VSL functions as well as low-cost, integrated strips markers on the road. Their vision is to make roads self-explanatory through personalised in-vehicle messages and advanced cooperative functions serving all road users (lorry and car drivers as well as PTWs riders) and all vehicle generations (non-equipped, C-ITS equipped, autonomous). Along with reduced maintenance cost, full recyclability and other added value services, the project supports also real-time predictive road maintenance functions.

SAFE STRIP invites transport service providers, road infrastructure operators and constructors, tier 1 and 2 suppliers, original equipment manufacturers, transport/ITS engineers, researchers and planners to a European workshop, scheduled to take place on 27 September in Thessaloniki, Greece as a forerunner to the 8th International Congress on Transportation Research.
