Since the president and the vice president must be seated in the front, that's two ways already; p-vp, vp-p. Three other member, let's say their names are Bill, Joe, and Nate. b-j-n, j-b-n, n-b-j, b-n-j, j-n-b, n-j-b. 6 different combinations. Multiply 6 by 2, 6 x 2 = 12. There are 12 different ways.
