Average thickness of book = Total thickness/mo. of books = 28 cm/ 10 = 2.8 cm Thus, on average, each book has 2.8 cm thickness.

If the ten books are 28cm thick then the average thickness is 28 (the total thickness) divided by 10 (the number of books). 28cm divided by 10 is 2.8cm. So the average thickness is 2.8cm!
